Illinois Interactive Report Card (IIRC)
The curriculum office keeps records of all testing results as the students move through the GCMS school system. An overview of each student’s achievement can assist teachers in making decisions as to how best to help the child to find success in learning. District assessments are given in grades K-12. Each grade level has formal pretests and posttests. Some tests are in the form of teacher-made tests, while others are nationally normed. The pretests are used to help focus on individual and group strengths and weaknesses, in order to better prepare the students. The post tests help the teacher to see what areas need reteaching in that specific subject.
Mandated state tests results such as ISATs, PSAEs, and the ACT tests are also analyzed, in order to determine areas of strengths and weaknesses. The data is reported to the GCMS staff to help facilitate the necessary adjustments to yearly lesson planning.
The Illinois Interative Report Card (IIRC) website contains test results for the ISAT and PSAE. This website also provides trends, statistical information, and learning tools.
